Our Adoption Process

ADOPTING FROM US: Our goal is to match our furry friends with your family and lifestyle. When you visit our facility, our knowledgeable staff is ready to assist you in your big decision. We’ll work with you to determine which animal best fits your lifestyle.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT:

Wednesday - Saturday we are open for walk-in hours between 12 and 4 PM. We always encourage applicants to review information online beforehand and, ideally, apply in advance to make your process as easy as possible.

APPLICATION: We strongly encourage you to submit an application on our website before visiting. During your visit you are given one-on-one time with a member of our staff to answer any questions regarding our current animal population, including behavioral and medical history.

PROCESS: While visiting if you meet your match, we are able to do same day adoptions! All animals that are up to date on their medical and behavioral evaluations will be able to start their new life with you that day if we find a match for your home and lifestyle.

WHAT IS INCLUDED: Included with all adoptions is a digital file of all previous medical information (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip), a sample bag of the current food they are eating to help ease the transition to the food you plan on feeding at home, any toys or bedding the pet has grown attached to while here, and pet-specific resources to better assist in the transition from shelter life to home living.

FEES: The "rescue fee" offsets a portion of the expense of care and the adoption process. The fee is not a purchase price for the pet selected. For that reason, refunds are only offered on a case-by-case basis. If the animal has been seen by a veterinarian and is unwell, please get in touch with us. All other refunds are solely at the discretion of the organization. It is important to us that each pet arrives in the right home for them and each home has the right pet.
